Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fenandez has tipped River Plate youngster Franco Mastantuono to make a move to Europe.

Fernandez gave the comments to ESPN, after being asked about the player's prospects. The Argentinian spoke glowingly of his young compatriot, calling Mastantuono "an incredible player." Real Madrid, Manchester United and Fernandez' Chelsea are rumoured to be interested in the player.

The Argentina Under-20 international has scored three goals and bagged two assists in his 12 appearances for the Buenos Aires club this season. The player has a contract at River until December 2027, but has a release clause set at €45m (£38.4m).

Fernandez said: "He's showing that he has a European future. You can see it.
"He's an incredible player. He's doing very well and has shown great talent. In my opinion, he's a star. I wish him the best and hope he can achieve all his goals. Hopefully he can also help us in the national team."

The Chelsea midfielder may have been heaping the praise on the youngster to entice a move to Stamford Bridge.
